Industrial Park
Wilson Park is a cooperative venture between Barre Area Development Inc. and the Town of Barre. They have worked together with the State of Vermont to provide exceptional, affordable industrial/commercial development sites in the Barre area of Central Vermont.
The park is home to Northern Power Systems, Inc., a high tech wind energy company. The park is currently expanding and will include a new state of the art 52,000 square foot building which will house SB Electronics, a manufacturer of capacitors for plug-in hybrid vehicles. The park also houses Vermont Butter & Cheese, an award winner in the manufacturing of goat cheese products, Highland Sugarworks, a premier maple syrup products manufacturer and distributor, and several companies that support the granite industry.
The park currently hosts a dozen tenants on 50 acres with hundreds of employees, and there are 78 additional acres available. Of these, 50 acres can be commercially zoned. Water, sewer, electricity and rail are in the park, and a master development permit is in hand.
The park is near municipal offices, school, recreation and housing. Lots can be tailored to the client’s needs. Several sites feature spectacular views of Vermont countryside.
